What is the Edinger Westphal nucleus?
Edinger Westphal nucleus, in the posterior midbrain, supplies parasympathetic fibers that terminate in the ciliary ganglion via cranial nerve III.
It is mainly involved in pupillary constriction and the light accommodation reflex.
