Characteristic histopathology of Microscopic polyangiitis
The renal pathology is a focal, segmental necrotizing GN frequently with crescents. Immunofluorescence and electron microscopy show no immune deposits (i.e., pauci-immune GN). Lung biopsy shows pulmonary capillaritis with negative immunofluorescence. Skin biopsy shows leukocytoclastic vasculitis.
