Causes of neuropathy in cancer
What are the causes of neuropathy in neoplastic disease?
• Toxic neuropathy from chemotherapy—platinum salts, vinca alkaloids, taxanes, bortezomib, thalidomide, epothilones, eribulin, etc.
• Nutritional neuropathy
• Direct tumor infiltration—plexus involvement or rarely single nerve infiltration
• Radiation plexopathy
• Paraneoplastic vasculitic neuropathy or neuronopathy
