Impulsive and antisocial behavior (disinhibition, hypersexuality, excessive eating, breaking of social conventions, compulsions, hoarding, and cluttering), high-risk behavior (inability to foresee or learn from negative consequences), unstable mood (lability, irritability, hypomania, mania), inappropriate jocularity ( Witzelsucht ; Moria ), and impaired olfactory recognition.
These behaviors may be seen with lesions of the orbitofrontal cortex, ventral caudate, globus pallidus, and mediodorsal thalamus.
During the exam, patients are often stimulus bound and show utilization behavior.
