  • • Hyperuricosuria (24-hour urine uric acid >1100 mg) due to risk of uric acid nephrolithiasis.
  • • Prophylaxis against tumor lysis syndrome.
  • • Hypoxanthine phosphoribosyltransferase deficiency (Lesch–Nyhan syndrome).
  • • Hyperuricemia due to myeloproliferative disorders.
  • • Hyperuricemia with nephrolithiasis of any type.
