Why is follow up imaging of stent grafts needed?
Follow-up imaging is performed to look for complications and to reevaluate the size of the aneurysm after endovascular repair. Ideally, the aneurysm sac gradually decreases in size after repair. Complications include migration of the stent-graft, hemorrhage, infection, and endoleak.
