What is recurrence?
Recurrence refers to an initial reduction in pain intensity or resolution of pain of the acute migraine in response to analgesic treatment with subsequent pain recurrence within 24 hours.
Its occurs depending on the initial analgesia used with a low of 14% of the time with a combination of sumatriptan and naproxen, 20% of the time with frovatriptan, and a high of 40% with sumatriptan SC.
