Risk factors for Alzheimers Disease

What are the risk factors for Alzheimers Disease?

The presence of ApoE4 and serious head injury in ApoE4-positive people, aging, postmenopausal estrogen deficiency, positive family history (independent of ApoE genotype), elevated serum homocysteine levels, elevated blood glucose and/or cholesterol, and low education level (especially early in development) may be risk factors.

Aluminum exposure is frequently cited, but no sound evidence supports the association.
