There is no cure for Multiple Sclerosis, but several drugs have been approved in the United States as long-term maintenance therapy to reduce the rate of attacks in relapsing–remitting Multiple Sclerosis.
These drugs are indicated for relapsing–remitting disease or clinically isolated syndromes and are probably powerless against any of the progressive, degenerative aspects of Multiple Sclerosis.
