How is Immune Complex Mediated Small Vessel Vasculitides treated?
Treatment has to be determined individually. If an associated disorder can be identified, treating that problem may suffice. Any potential drug or antigen should be discontinued or removed. An underlying infection should be properly treated. Mild cases without internal organ involvement may be self-limited, requiring no specific treatment. If systemic symptoms are present and skin lesions are diffuse, or if internal organ involvement is present, glucocorticoids are usually the treatment of choice.
