What is Dysphoria
Dysphoria is a condition in which a person feels unpleasant or uncomfortable. It may involve mood changes and feelings of sadness, anxiety, irritability, and restlessness.
Dysphoria is often caused by normal life stress and it usually goes away within several days. Dysphoria that lasts longer than several days may be a symptom of a mental disorder, such as major depression or bipolar disorder.

- Check with your health care provider before taking any herbs or supplements.

a healthy lifestyle.
- Eat a healthy diet.
- Exercise regularly.
- Get plenty of sleep.
- Avoid alcohol and drugs.
- Learn ways to reduce stress and cope with stress, such as with yoga and meditation.
- Talk about your feelings with family members or health care providers.
- Make time for yourself to do things that you enjoy.
Contact a health care provider if:
- You were given medicine and it does not seem to be helping.
- You feel hopeless and overwhelmed.
- You feel like you cannot leave your house.
- You have trouble taking care of yourself.
Get help right away if:
- You have serious thoughts about hurting yourself or others.
