Ancillary tests to diagnose vascular dementia
What ancillary tests may be useful in diagnosing vascular dementia?
The EEG may show multiple slow-wave foci, and SPECT or PET scans may show multiple areas of decreased flow or altered metabolism.
These tests have not been adequately studied to assess their utility for differentiating the various forms of vascular dementias.
