What is Dacarbazine DTIC

Dacarbazine is a cell cycle-phase nonspecific antineoplastic drug that is believed to be an alkylating agent.

Dacarbazine is unlike conventional alkylating agents such as cyclophosphamide or chlorambucil.

It is used in the treatment of metastatic malignant melanoma, osteogenic sarcoma, soft-tissue sarcoma, and Hodgkin lymphoma.

Dacarbazine is also referred to in the literature as DTIC, which stands for dimethyl-triazeno-imidazole-carboxamide.
